Some Birthday Pics

Adam and I have started making this cute little knitted hats. They are really easy and so cute. I do not think of myself as a "craftsey" person, but these are so easy. They are done on what looks like a loom with little pegs on it. They come in all sizes. I tried one that I made for toddlers on Cecely. She is quite the little gerber model.
This is one of the girls friends. Hannah is six but she loves to come over for play dates with the girls. She is really good to them and was in the same school. She is also in Primary with the girls. She was invited to the Birthday parties.
Cecely's first taste of cake. She loved it. She isn't picky or shy when it comes to eating. She ate everything. She was saying "mmmmm" the whole time. She was such a mess!!!
Here she was opening presents. She of course loved the wrapping paper and bows more than the actual present. I love that age!!!
Here is how happy she was with all of her gifts. If she could say Hallelujah I think she would. The girls had a great time. I have more pics to post. It was such a good birthday party for them. We decided to do a theme birthday every even year and a family birthday on the odd years. Themed birthday parties are expensive, but fun. Family birthday's are fun and great for the girls. It is really hot here but we are surviving. We are enjoying being so close to family. It's so nice. Adam had a great Father's Day. I made him a special breakfast and dinner. It is really hard because our church is over at 4:30. He got to sleep in and the girls each made him a card and I wrote on it why daddies are special. Bailey drew a picture of a ghost and a daddy. She said Daddies are special because they chase away the ghosts. Aislynn drew a picture of a rocket and space and said that Daddies are special because her daddy always shows her the starts at night. Cecely, well I guessed for her. She pretty much loves her daddy for anything he does.

The Accident

Yes, this is blood. For all of you that are a little squeamish, this may not be the greatest post for you. Bailey and Aislynn decided that they were going to play grandma and grand daughter. Grand daughter, who was Aislynn decided that she wanted a snack. So, Grandma being Bailey decided to get her one. They both decided to cut an apple together. This was on a Saturday and Adam was in the garage cleaning out the van. They had previously been playing outside with Adam in the garage. I was upstairs sorting through winter clothes and putting them away. I told Adam that if the girls decided to come in, he needed to tell me because I cannot hear them when I am upstairs. Well, the girls decided to come in, Adam told them to go upstairs and tell Mom that you are playing inside now. They decided to bypass that order and decided to go right for the fun stuff. All of a sudden I hear Bailey screaming. I run downstairs to find my entire kitchen covered in blood. Now, when I say my entire kitchen I mean my entire kitchen. This is only a portion of my tile in my kitchen. Imagine every single tile covered like this. I had it on the walls, the appliances, cabinets, table and chairs everywhere. When I walked downstairs into the kitchen it looked like a scene from CSI. Bailey was screaming that Aislynn had cut her. I had no clue where she was cut. She was covered in blood. I run and get Adam and we both start to access the damages. Aislynn was screaming her head off as well. She was also covered in blood. I think she thought she was hurt because of all the blood on her dress and skin.

I took Aislynn into the living room and started washing her off and Adam was trying to find where Bailey had been cut. It turns out it was her pointer finger on her left hand right below the first digit. I had no clue fingers could bleed that much. When she got cut she started swinging her hand around trying to get the blood off of her and ended up slinging it everywhere. I am still finding blood spots to this day. We cleaned up her finger, I thought it needed stitches, Adam decided that no it did not so we just bandaged it up ourselves. We decided that since this happened in the evening we would look at it in the morning and reassess everything. We called a friend of ours in the ward and he came over and helped Adam give her a blessing. Then next morning came and we took the bandage off, and yes she needed stitches. So Adam took her to the ER and I stayed home with the other girls. Bailey was a trooper. Such a brave girl. They gave her two stitches and let her choose a toy from the toy closet.
This is what it looked like when she came home with her stitches in. She was very proud of her war wounds.
Here is another picture. She told me everything they did to her in the Hospital. She knew she had been very brave.
She loved her fishy band aid they had her wear.
Aislynn missed Bailey so much when she was gone getting her stitches. She just moped around the house and kept asking for her. She was so nice to her sissy when she came home. This is about an hour later. Aislynn didn't want to let Bailey out of her sight. She had the stitches in for nine days. Everything went fine. She had a nice scar now on that finger. She will never play with knives again that is for sure. Every time she sees me cutting something she has to remind me that I need to be very careful. It was an event that I really don't ever want to have to repeat. You always know as a mother there will be something that will happen like that someday. I am done with mine. NO MORE!!

We are doing well and staying busy. The girls are done with Preschool now. It was very sad because their teacher is moving so they won't be doing Preschool with her now. I need to find another alternative. I loved both of their teachers so much. I have been called to the Young Women's. I am the Beehive Advisor. I am still technically teaching Sunbeams until they find a replacement. I love it though!! It is so different to be in YW. I have been in Primary for so long. I will miss my Primary kids though. I love Primary. Adam is still working very hard at work and church. He is in the Activities Committee. He loves hanging out with his girls. I have lots of pics to post. Aislynn and Cecely's birthdays were great. I still can't believe how big they are getting. We love and miss friends and family. Thank you to everyone who reads our blog. I am sorry it's taken me so long to post. I get in those moods sometimes where I put in on the back burner for a little bit. More posts and pics to come I promise!!!!
