Random things

Our family decided to take a Sunday drive to the mountains. We really don't live that far away from them. It is actually very beautiful. I missed the mountains so much when we lived in Florida. This is the road going up to Mt. Lemmon. As a young woman we had our girls camp up here. I have very fond memories of this mountain. When Adam and I were newly married we would go up to the little mountain town called Summerhaven. They have wonderful shops and great little restaurants. In the summer it's a great retreat from the heat.
We have had quite a bit of water this year. This is quite the rare sight. It was beautiful though to see all of this beautiful landscape and all of the wonderful water.

On another note, Cecely has decided that she needs to follow her sister's around everywhere. Especially if they have food. If anyone has food she will be over to you in a second begging for food. The girls are very patient with her. If she is not trying to get food, she is trying to get a toy or hair or something else they may have.

This is often her cute little face begging for food or whatever it is that she wants. If she doesn't think that face is working she will start grabbing and grunting and then it turns into straight out yelling. Oh yes, she knows how to get what she wants. It's survival of the fittest. My girls are so dang cute though. How lucky I am to see them grow. The girls got haircuts so I will post some pics of those later. Hope everyone enjoys their day!!!

Valentine's Day

Welcome to Valentine's Day at the Bingham's. This is a picture of all the loot that the girls got at their preschool party. I made snickerdoodles for the party and also we did Valentine cards for each child in their preschool and kindergarten classes. The girls received the cutest cards. Most of the kids in their school are in our ward so of course we all know each other. The girls got cards from the boys that said, "you are so pretty valentine". Of course I know their moms had something to do with it. They were spoiled. Their teachers gave them these cute hearts with yummy chocolate inside.
Here is more of the loot. I cannot believe how much candy they had. They were so excited and had such a great day. Daddy got them some yummy sugar cookies with pink frosting on top and red heart gumdrops. He didn't forget about his girls on this special day.
These are the beautiful flowers my hubby gave to me. I am not a huge rose fan. I do think they are beautiful, however I love flowers with a little more diversity. These are gorgeous. He did an amazing job picking them out. What a great hubby I have. He then came home and cleaned for me. You know ladies what I am talking about. It is usually up to us to get dinner going and kids fed and then dinner dishes done and whatever damage has been done in the house from the kids. Then it's off to do laundry and fold it too. Well he did the kitchen and vacuumed. Such a huge relief for me. What a great guy!! I love my hubby so much and can't believe we have been married for almost nine years.
After an exhausting day of school and eating candy, oh and we also had a playmate over to play, the girls were tired. They were having some quite time watching one of their favorite shows Max and Ruby!!
We can't forget our little Cecely. She got Zwieback toast for Valentine's Day. Here she is going to town on it. This is one of her favorite treats. Plus it helps with cutting those teeth. She really didn't know what was going on but she loved her treat. She can be mama and daddy's valentine. I have Adam a box of dark chocolates for his treat. I told him how much we loved him and what a great daddy he is. We had a great day!!

Snow Days!!

It was a snow day at our house today. That is a major thing for Tucson. We rarely get snow. Growing up here I could count on one had the number of times it snowed. We live closer to the mountains and lo and behold it started snowing. It was absolutely beautiful. There is something magical about snow in the desert.
Aislynn and Bailey were so thrilled with the snow. They looked at it through the window for a while but that just wasn't good enough. Even mama wanted to get outside and feel it on my arms and face.
Adam had my van today so I opened the garage and let the girls play for just a little while. It was really cold, and they weren't really dressed for it. The were letting it fall in their eyes and on their feel and hands. Then they started opening their mouths and laughing as the snow fell on their tongues. I was having so much fun just watching them dance around and sing a made up song about snow.
They would get snow on their mouths and then try to kiss each other with the snow on their mouths and laugh and laugh. Bailey kept saying that Jesus loved the snow too and that he loved to play in the snow. You have to realize my girls have never really seen snow. We lived in Utah for a short time after they were born but they were basically babies when we moved to Florida. Then of course we moved here. So for them its a magical thing. They are to the age where they understand what it is and enjoy it so much.
What a great little break in the day. We had a wonderful time. It was also nice to sit in my nice warm home and look at it through the windows. My favorite moment of all though was watching my children enjoy the snow and play in the little flakes that were falling and then take the time to realize that it is a beautiful gift that was given to us by our Heavenly Father. Tender mercies, tiny miracles. What a great day.

10 years ago: I was getting ready to come home from my mission. Very sad to be leaving the people I had come to love so much. Excited to see my family. Of course as a returned missionary you think you are going to set the world on fire when you get home. I was also in the best shape of my life after walking about 18 miles a day for almost two years. I was also trying to remember the English language.


5 Things on my list of things to do today: Fold laundry, sweep and mop floor, vacuum upstairs, call Dr. for my little baby who is sick. Take care of sick kids and sick hubby. Do breakfast dishes, play with kids and love and kiss them lots and lots!! Oh yeah I need to take a shower somewhere in there.

3 of my bad habits: not working out like I should, not finding time to enjoy things like smelling roses, or looking at stars, need more patience

Our house

Okay, for those of you that have been wanting to see our new house, here it is. The garage is actually on the back of the house. I haven't taken pictures of that yet. I will take more, don't worry. It was actually raining on this day, so it kind of looks dark and dreary. We will have landscaping in the front yard. We actually have some plants, but the builders put in the landscaping and then we had a freeze and it all died. So they will come again in April and put new landscaping in. We love our house. It's very cute.
Come on in. We would love to have you. This is our front door. We have been expecting you.
This is the bathroom down stairs. We usually have towels up and toilet paper in the toilet paper holder, but the girls like to hide these things and have each other look for them. The only problem is, when you go to use the bathroom good luck trying to find the toilet paper. I love this bathroom. Adam did the lovely floral arrangement in the alcove.
Here is our kitchen. Very cute. I love it. Sorry I took these really fast and this was before I cleaned. Can you tell we have kids? Notice the lovely artwork on the fridge and the bibs hanging from the stove.

This is our dining area. The china cabinet was given to us by my grandma. It looks really good with our cherry wood cabinets. I didn't take any pics of the living room or upstairs. Downstairs we have of course our kitchen and bathroom, dining room and laundry room that leads our to our garage. Upstairs we have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have a little landing on the top of the stairs and that is where we have the computer. We have gorgeous mountain views and a gorgeous neighborhood. We frequently see coyotes, javelina, quail, a mountain lion you name it we see it. We have gorgeous walk areas and parks. We feel very blessed to live here. I will post more pics of the upstairs and living room when I take them. Hopefully this will hold you off for now!! Remember we would love for you to come visit. Our door is always open!!!

Preschool!

Well, as most of you know the girls have officially started Preschool. We were lucky enough to have a mother and daughter in our ward who teach Preschool. Both of them are teachers and have an incredible program that they teach the children. It includes dance, social studies, art, math, reading, and a number of other things. The mother(who is about my moms age) is a teacher as well as a professional dancer. She has taught dance in Austria the last couple of years. These are the girls shirts for art. They also needed to bring water bottles for any out door activities.
This is Mrs. Adrienne. She is the daughter. She has been teaching with her mom since she was 16. She went to school and received her degree in teaching and early child development. She had her own preschool in Thatcher and then they moved back here and she started teaching with her mom. They are so good with the kids and are genuinely interested in each child. It is also nice to know that gospel principles are implemented in their program. It makes leaving my little girls a little easier.
Before they started school on their first day, we arrived a little early. Adam took them for a walk around the house. They live smack dab in the middle of the desert and it's gorgeous. Our new home is pretty much in the desert as well. We are very lucky. We get to see lots of wildlife and the girls get an education every time they walk outside. I got the wonderful chance to see a Mountain Lion when coming home from dropping the girls off. It was beautiful. A little scary, but beautiful.
Here they are standing in front of the door. It was all we could do to get them to pose for a picture. They wanted to get in and get started. It was mom and dad who wanted them to pose and linger a little longer. Isn't it funny how we worry what our kids will do that first day, and we think that they will miss us and that we need to slowly guide them into the process, when in reality it is us that needs all of the reassuring and guiding. Here are my beautiful girls starting a very important step in their life. Why do they need to get big so fast?
They have an huge house that has an incredible basement. The entire basement has been turned into the preschool. They also teach kindergarten as well. You can see the girls got their puzzles and found their friends and they were on their way. A lot of their little friends from church go to this school so it's nice. I am sure the girls will have a great time here and learn so much. I am glad for their teachers and the time and love they give to each child. It's nice for this mommy to know that my little girls will gain a love of learning. Something I hope they carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Finally a Post!

Okay, so we finally have a new post after months of not having any. We broke down and bought a camera. We are in our new house and we love it!! I will do another blog with pictures of our new house. It's two stories and beautiful. So lots has been going on in the almost three months since we moved here to Tucson. We have a new home, the girls started preschool. Those pictures will come shortly. I have been called as the Sunbeam teacher. I teach my girls. That can prove to be a little challenging. I team teach with another wonderful woman. She is the one that told me about the preschool the girls are currently attending. Adam has been called to the Activities Committee. It's nice because he can take Cecely for me during Primary. We love our ward and feel very blessed to be here. The girls are growing by leaps and bounds. I took Cecely in for her 8 month appointment. She is 19 pounds 14 ounces. She is 28 inches long. She is in the 73rd percentile for both. She is a very healthy active girl. She is teething right now, so not too happy I guess. She makes us laugh everyday and is such a beautiful child. She loves her sisters and smiles so big and laughs every morning when they greet her in her crib. Aislynn and Bailey are doing really well. It has been quite the transition for them . They have started Sunbeams and Preschool. They love Sunbeams. Aislynn tends to be more of a free spirit and likes to wander off during Primary. She loves to dance around and pretend she is a ballerina. Both girls love Preschool and their two teachers Mrs. Adrienne and Mrs. Geraldine. We feel very blessed to have such an incredible little family.


Adam and I are doing great. Adam loves his job and I love being at home with my girls. We love and miss everyone very much and are so glad to be in Tucson. My parents enjoy being grandparents and being with my little ones. I feel so lucky to live so close to them. I will now keep up on the blog I promise.
