She wore an itsy bitsy teeny weeny........

Well, as you can see surf's up at the Bingham household. Now typically I wouldn't be letting my girls wear swimsuits in the winter, but it is really hot around here and so, guess what we do wear swimsuits. They both had outgrown their swimsuits so we headed down to Target and bought these cute little swimsuits!!!! Bailey is posing for her picture, showing a little diaper in the process!!
Aislynn is playing soccer in her tennis suit. She thinks she is quite stylish and loves to show it off to everyone.
Here she is turning to show her cute little profile. Yes she is quite the model. Or at least she likes to think she is.
This cute hat was made by Aislynn herself in Nursery at church. She specially designed it for those hot sunny days in Florida. Yes, she is quite the designer, look out Tommy Hilfiger!!
Bailey sporting her toothy grin. She is quite the ham!! She loves to play it up for the camera. Of course this angle doesn't do her justice, she is the little chunky monkey! We are very lucky and have two swimming pools in our little housing development and of course the beach isn't that far away. SO the girls get plenty of water activity. Then there is always the bath tub and that is great for trying out our blowing bubbles technique. Hope you enjoy the pics, and we feel very bad for all of our friends and family who are in chilly weather!!

Much ado about nothing

This would be Aislynn's ride. Oh yes hat and all. She will pick different hats and outfits she has to wear for the day. It doesn't particularly have to be a theme, she just knows no matter what she is "pretty". Since we have tile floors little rockets go very fast, and she loves it!!!
Bailey loves to play hide and go seek around the couch. She will wait for you to find her. She will let out a huge belly laugh and yell "find you".
Aislynn also loves to be naked, what child doesn't. She has to of course have the hat on. Now she has gotten into the habit of sticking the comb in her pants. Do not ask me where she learned this. This is not a habit that I have nor Adam. It's pretty dang funny though!!
Since Aislynn has her shirt off Bailey has to have hers off as well. She will also try to sneak behind mommy or daddy and find the remote control. Too much fun for little hands, and too much headache for mommy and daddy to try and undo what she did to the controls.

Both of my girls are sick. It's one thing as a mother I hate. I mean yes it can be a pain to wake up every 45 minutes at night, but that really isn't it. I hate the fact that really there is nothing you can do. You can drug them and hope they feel better but a lot of times it just doesn't work. So we do lots of snuggling and loving. If you look really close in this picture you will see that Aislynn has a snot bubble!!! Lovely, I know. I had to catch the effect of the whole sick thing you know.

Sisterly Love

Sometimes when things are a little to quite, I will go and see what these two are up to. I periodically find them sitting in Bailey's window just chatting and looking at the birds outside. Of course they can always find something great to gossip about.
When Bailey is done with her food I will get her down and she will go to Aislynn who will then feed her like her own baby. This usually ends up in big messes but what can I say, that is what baths are for right??
Aislynn wasn't feeling too good so she has her binkie in tow and Bailey is pointing to funny mamma with the camera.

More table manners 101. If Aislynn doesn't feed Bailey fast enough, Bailey will reach and grab her bowl and bring it down to her level. Of course that is when I will hear Aislynn scream"No Be Be(Bailey) NO!!!!! That will clue me in on what is going on in the kitchen. There is never a dull moment that is for sure.

The Sweetest Things

Okay, so no pictures. I need to take some more. I haven't been able to take any specifically of Aislynn. So we will hold off for a couple of days on pictures. I thought instead I would write some very cute things that my children have been doing lately. Now, before I had children I would often wonder about having them. What kind of wonderous joy would they bring to my life? What kind of mother would I be? What examples would I take from my parents and use in the upbringing of my children. I wondered what kind of father my husband would be. I knew he would be a great father, but until you actually see him in that role, it tends to be a little bit of a mystery. I knew that our children would bring us joy. What joy though I could not possibly fathom. Now that I am a mother and both of our kids are past the baby stage, they amaze me everyday with how smart and wonderful and just down right funny they are. Yesterday we were all playing on the floor. This tends to be the typically day. Mommy on the floor with the two toddlers. Aislynn was playing with two sippy cups that were empty and Bailey and I were playing with blocks. Aislynn accidentally dropped the sippy cups on her toe, and all the world came crashing down. She started crying and got made at the sippy and threw it. So of course I went to her and picked her up and kissed her toes and made it all better as only mommies can do. Bailey of course was still sitting on the floor and observing everything that had just transpired. So she grabs the cup and drops it and falls down on the floor and starts fake crying. How smart is that?? So I go and give her loves too and let her know that everything will be okay and I kiss her chubby little toes. The world is now a better place and both of my kids can now go on playing on the floor, reassured that mommy loves them(and daddy too), but most of all that owies and boo boos can be kissed away. Aislynn has become quite the little biter. She hasn't bit anyone but her sister. When Bailey gets in her way or takes a toy that Aislynn wants, she will bite to get it back, or bite to get Bailey out of the way. So of course this calls for a time out which consists of putting her in her crib and explaining to her that we do not bite our sissy that we are nice and soft to our sissy. She will then spend about 5 minutes in her crib to think it over, or do whatever toddlers do when they are in time out. In her case it consists of licking the wall behind her crib to watch the saliva run down it. During this time of course Bailey is screaming bloody murder and her arm is flaming red. I of course try to console her and kiss it but all she wants is her sissy. She screams for her sissy and will crawl to her door and bang on it. She doesn't understand why I put her in there. Even though her sister just bit her, she still loves her and her sissy is all she wants. SO after the time out Aislynn comes out and gives her sissy and big hug and kiss and says Sorry. Now it is all better and the world can begin again. Everyday I am amazed by the bond these two little sisters share. Of course Adam and I knew from the instant that we find out about Aislynn that her and Bailey were supposed to be together. As I look at them playing(when they are being nice to eachother) I wonder, did they choose eachother? Were they incredible friends in Heaven? Could they not stand the thought of being apart so much they decided to be earthly sisters?? Did they choose Adam and I to be their parents? What do they remember about Heaven? I often catch them talking to eachother in their own little language, using some english words that I can make out and I wonder what they are saying. I really had no idea the happiness that being a mother would bring into my life. I thought I knew, but I had no idea. We are blessed. This much I know. It really is quite humbling to look at these sweet spirits that have been entrusted into our care, and know that really they are only on loan. They are our Heavenly Fathers children, just as we all are. How greatful I am though that He thought of myself and Adam when He was handing out blessings that day.......

Lions and Tigers and Bears oh my!!!!

Now, isn't this just the perfect picture of happiness. Aislynn really loved the monkeys. They paid a lot of attention to her. Probably because she is quite the little monkey herself. We decided to take a family trip to the zoo here. It's a wonderful zoo. There are so many things for little bodies to do!!!
Aislynn and Bailey both thought this was a "pretty kitty" meow meow. By the size of its full belly I am sure it would love little chubby babies.
Aislynn loved to feel the goats with daddy's help. The tongue was a little weird to her at first, but she got used to it and wanted to feed the goat more!!!
They have a part at the zoo that is set up like a rain forest. It gives you an idea of what Florida was like. Aislynn got caught up in all the fog. She really didn't mind it though.
Obviously she isn't scared of big tigers coming out of a wall!!! She just kind of looked at it and went on her way. We had a great time!!! There will be more pictures to come of our great zoo!!

Fun in the Sun

When we went down to the keys they have these really cute little fishing stops with restaurants and cute little things you can buy. We stopped off here to feed the Tarpin fish. In the next picture you will see just what I am talking about.
They are these huge fish that are about six feet in length. They can get bigger than that. They hang out around this dock and you can feed them. Let me tell you it's pretty intimidating. They are huge. Of course they are signs around every saying "don't put your hands in the water as the Tarpin will bite" that makes you feel so much better!
The girls had a blast. They could see the big fish and the pelicans. Of course the pelicans hang around waiting for food. They know you are going to feed the Tarpin fish so they wait and see if they can be faster and get the food before the big fish do.
It was a lot of fun. There is so much to see here. There is so much wildlife that I have never seen before.
Pretty amazing huh? We had a great time and the girls really loved it. It was a great day.

Toddler Time

Aunt Nicole and her family gave Aislynn this wonderful toy for Christmas. It will keep her occupied for so long. She loves to draw. She will sit just like this and draw and erase. She is quite the little artist. Mommy often tries to help her, but I do not draw what she likes, she draws much better than I.
We are ready for the beach or swimming. Of course the pajamas are a necessary addition to this lovely outfit. Where would a girl be without tinkerbell pajamas. She loves to play dress ups and this was her outfit for the day!!
Bailey has started to make great faces!!! She knows she is funny when she does them too. She has become quite the little ham. She even cracks herself up!!
What can I say my girls are hilarious. How could I have a bad day with these cuties!!!! Bailey was making this face while saying"quack quack quack".
We have lots of fun during the day! There is not a dull moment around our house. I would not have it any other way. You know I think I am learning more than they are. It's so nice just to be able to put some floaties on and mom's big hat and just be crazy for the day!!!!

Beach Bunnies

Now, as most of you know it took a good four or five trips to the beach before Bailey came to this point. The sand scared her and so did the water. This last trip though she was all over, eating the sand putting it in all of her crevices and nose and ears. The fear is gone. She was still a little leary of the water, but all in good time!!!
This is Aislynn posing on a tire. The babies loved this big toy on the beach. It was just perfect for two little mountain goats to climb on, in and around .
Can you see all of the sand everywhere? Her swim suit soon came off and she was in her little swimmer and nothing else. She isn't much for clothes. Plus the buttons kept popping on her swimsuit. She was blessed with a bigger bottom than top.
Aislynn has become quite the bossy older sister. She is really helpful though too. She is telling Bailey the proper way to use the shovel and bucket. Of course every young sister needs a bigger one to show her the finer things of life.
This is at the keys. We decided to take a little trip down the the keys!!! I have always wanted to say that. The water here is so calm and it was perfect for the babies to crawl in and walk in. You could walk in a long ways. Aislynn loved not getting knocked over by the big waves. This was a perfect little spot. This is a perfect beautiful picture to end a perfect beautiful day!!!

Our new Place......

This is a wonderful day at the beach. It has actually become our Sunday tradition. Before the girls go to bed we take a walk along the boardwalk. Aislynn walks and Bailey rides. Aislynn likes to push Bailey. Mostly she likes the social side of things. She waves and smiles and says hi to all of the rich Florida people..... They love it though
This was our place the first day we were here. For two weeks no furniture or anything.... We just camped out on our tile floor. I kept the girls entertained though with books and games. It's also nice enough to go walking and playing outside.
The Bishop was nice enough to lend us some things, including this camping blanket. This became the play area as it was nice and soft. The girls loved this sleeping bag. They could actually roll around on it and not knock themselves out.
This is after a Saturday at the beach. Tired girls. It's great for mom and dad though, they are tuckered out and ready for bed.
Big room for little babies to get into lots of trouble. Bailey likes to try and crawl as fast as she can, sometimes slipping. Aislynn likes to push things around on the floor. Of course now that we have our furniture it isn't this bare. More pictures of the house to come. We are glad that we are here and getting settled. The girls of course love that fact that everyday is a play day to go outside and crawl and walk everywhere.

Merry Christmas from Florida!!!!!

Well, here is some of our house. As you can see we still have some boxes. We are trying to clean out the garage and put stuff in plastic as there is lots of humidity which leads to mold. This area is the girls play area. We put carpet down for them here, it's nice and comfy. The Christmas tree is on the left. The entire house is tile which makes for great bumps and bruises for the girls. We like it though, it's a very cute house..
Bailey was still trying to wake up. They were spoiled by Santa and Aunt's and Uncles. No coal for them. Dad played the pass the presents Santa. Mom took pictures.
Here is what it looked like before the destruction of two toddlers came through. All of those presents are for the girls. Oh except the awesome manly man tool set that I got Adam, and the snorkel set that he got for me!!
Here they are in two of the outfits Santa brought them. Notice that they are not covered up in turtle necks and sweats or jeans!!! That would be because it's a nice 75 degrees here. This is considered winter wear here. They are both so adorable!!!! They are getting so big.
This picture is a little blurry, but this a chair we got them. When they sit in it it sings and says the alphabet. Bailey has decided that this is her throne and she will sit here and not let Aislynn get on it. Yes, it turns out to a full out scratching and biting match. Ohh, they do love eachother though. We had a great Christmas and were so blessed to share it with our two beautiful daughters. We missed all of our wonderful friends and family though. We have loved it here in Florida. Adam loves his job. They are very good to him. He has a lot of responsibility and a lot of oppurtunity for growth. He is still a wonderful dad when he is home and we miss him when he is gone. I am at home with our girls and loving it. They make me laugh everyday and teach me so much humility as only children can. We love our cute home. We have a great back yard and lovely weather to walk and play outside. Our neighborhood is wonderful and so are our neighbors. We have taken so many pictures so now that things are settling in I will post again everyday, but don't hold me to that. Sometimes I get side tracked(ha ha). We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas. Stay tuned for more of "The Bingham's in Florida"........

Butt what??

I mean come on, what isn't cute about a babies butt?? I love these pictures. This is the only time in life you can get away with having lots of rolls!!! You can obviously tell who's who in this picture.
This is the scene every bath time. They love to be butt naked and watching the water fill up the tub. They scream with joy and play with the water. There doesn't even need to be toys. Awww the simple pleasures of life.
Aislynn and Bailey love story time. Aislynn loves to sit in Bailey's lap and read to her. She will point to all the pictures and say the words she knows. Bailey loves it as you can tell.
This is the best toy ever!!!! It is a moving box. Bailey played with it all morning. She would go in and out. Then she would grab a toy and pull it in then out. They she would stand up and push it across the floor. I should invest in more of these.

Aislynn is quite the shopper. She loves to grab all the bags after we get home and carry them around like purses. She will hide her toys in them and then stuff them in various cabinets or toilets. Which ever is accesible at the moment. We have lost our remote for the DVD player and fear that it got thrown away.

This will be my last post for a couple of weeks. We are moving on Saturday. We won't be getting our stuff from the moving van for a week, so please bare with us. Things are very hectic but I am sure that we will love Florida. To all of our friends and family we will miss you terribly. Please call or email. Come and visit if your every on the east coast!!!!!!

Precious Moments

Yes, we are starting our kids out early on the "caffeine free mountain dew". Just kidding. Aislynn loves to get into the cupboard and pretend she is drinking soda. Bad habits already starting.
Aislynn and Bailey love giving kisses to eachother. If Bailey doesn't want to give kisses Aislynn will take her face and force her too. We tried to make it a fun thing, but of course it's kissing toddler style, which can be dangerous.
Just thought I would add this cute picture of Aislynn the day we picked her up from LDS family services. Time certainly does fly with kids. She is getting so big. We love her so much. Both our kids add so much to our lives.
Aislynn loves mommy's shoes. Her favorite thing is to try them on and try to walk in them. Most of the time it just ends in frustration.
Daddy and daughter. They both love their dad. It's so nice. He is a wonderful daddy.
